I’m extremely busy with holiday preparation, so here’s an ultra quick tip if you aren’t yet finished with your Christmas food shopping: If you are anywhere near a Whole Foods, give them a try. I daresay they have an excellent chance of becoming your regular grocery store. With gas prices down, I’m willing to drive a little extra to go to the Whole Foods in Dallas. Now, I’m trying to lower my family’s oil consumption, so if you are an executive with Whole Foods, please consider a store in the Flower Mound/Grapevine/Highland Village/Lewisville area. Ahem. But, as long as there is not a Whole Foods close, I find it just as economical to spend a little money on gas and drive to the Dallas store. Whole Foods not only has the best selection of organic and all-natural foods, they also have the best bargains. That’s a formidable combination. And Whole Food’s 365 house brand is the best I’ve ever encountered, even outdoing Costco’s Kirkland brand (and that’s saying something). From organic waffles and cornbread mix to all natural cookies and frozen fruits, our family has never bought a 365-brand product that we didn’t like. I want to be clear: This is not a paid post for Whole Foods. They are the real deal, and if you’re serious about an all-natural diet and about saving money (and who isn’t in this economy?), do yourself a favor and check them out.
